Automatic Software Update Preferences

Here at the Omni Group, we're always busy improving OmniGraffle and our other products. New versions and updates become available quite often, fixing software bugs and improving compatibility and performance. So that you don't miss out on the latest improvements, OmniGraffle can automatically check for updates over the Internet and inform you when you can download a new version. To manually check for updates, choose Check for Updates... from the OmniGraffle (application) menu. Or go to the Update pane of OmniGraffle's Preferences window and press Check for Updates Now. OmniGraffle also regularly checks for updates in the background while you're connected to the Internet. If a new version is available for download, a panel will appear with information about it. From this panel, you can open a web page with detailed information about the new version, or download it immediately. You can control OmniGraffle's automatic software update checking behavior in Update Preferences: Check for updates - By default, OmniGraffle will Automatically check for updates in the background. If you choose Manually instead, OmniGraffle will only check for updates when you use the button or menu item to have it check immediately. Automatic checking occurs - When set to check automatically, OmniGraffle will check for updates at the interval specified here: Daily, Weekly, or Monthly.
